For intraperitoneal glucose tolerance tests (IPGTTs), blood glucose levels were measured after administration of glucose (2 g/kg i.p.), and the area under the curve was calculated: (a,b) IPGTT at the beginning of the experiment, (c,d) IPGTT after 4 months of chronic liraglutide treatment. For ethical reasons, IPGTT was not performed on animals who had already developed hyperglycemia. (e,f) Basal blood glucose levels at different ages.
