Cytokine mixture treatment increases cav-1 expression in INS-1 cells and isolated islets. (a) The mRNA level of cav-1 was determined after 6 h incubation with the cytokine mixture (CM; IL-1β 20 ng/ml, TNFα 20 ng/ml) in INS-1 cells and isolated islet from SD rat. (b) The amount of cav-1 protein was measured by western blot analysis after treatment of SD islet cells with CM for 24 h. (d) The amount of cav-1 protein was measured by western blot analysis after treatment of INS-1 cells with CM for various time periods (0 H, 6 H, 12 H, and 24 H).
