TFG favored EGF-EGRF activation. CCA cell lines were treated with (A) siFUT1 or scramble (sc) and (B) with UEA-I or without UEA-I (ctrl) for 24 h prior to the stimulation of EGF (100 ng/ml) in the serum free medium for 10 min. The levels of EGFR, phosphorylated EGFR and its downstream signaling Akt and Erk were determined using Western blotting. The activation of EGFR, Akt and Erk of the EGF treated cells were compared with those of the untreated cells by assigning the untreated cells = 1. The full-length blots are presented in Supplementary Fig. 3A,B.
