Expression of defense response-related genes during B. cinerea infection. Gene expression in Arabidopsis wild-type (Wt) and rap2.4-1 plants inoculated with B. cinerea at 18 hours post-inoculation (hpi) were compared to non-inoculated samples (0 hpi) and normalized to the expression of the control gene (AtActin2). Error bars for qRT-PCR values are standard errors (n = 3). Mean values followed by an asterisk are significantly different from the corresponding wild-type control at the specified time of inoculation (P < 0.05). All assays were repeated independently in triplicates with similar results.
