  1. Minimal differences detected for levels of beta-amyloid, tau protein, or alpha-synuclein between diabetes-susceptible and diabetes-resistant rats, irrespective of whether they were supplemented with PFB or not. However, Tyrosine Hydroxylase was significantly more positive in rats supplemented with PFB compared to those not supplemented. The presence or absence of diabetes [high blood glucose] did not appear to affect tyrosine hydroxylase expression.
