SFC ameliorates HFD-induced hyperglycemia in C57BL/6J mice. Levels of plasma glucose (a) and insulin (b) after fasting for 6 h were measured using Accu-Check glucometer and insulin ELISA kit, respectively. (c) Intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test (GTT) was carried out by measuring glucose levels at 15, 30, 60, 90, and 120 min after peritoneal injection of glucose (1 g/kg) to 6-hr fasted mice. (d) Intraperitoneal insulin tolerance test (ITT) was carried out by measuring glucose level at 15, 30, and 60 min after insulin injection (0.7 U/kg) to 6 h fasted mice. (e) Intraperitoneal pyruvate tolerance test (PTT) was carried out by measuring glucose level at 30, 60, and 120 min after pyruvate injection (1 g/kg) to 6-hr fasted mice. **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001 vs. CD mice. #p < 0.05; ##p < 0.01; ###p < 0.001 vs. HFD mice.
