Average diel soil temperatures 5, 20, and 50 cm depths within Ecolabs set to mimic a (a) typical, fluctuating diurnal pattern and (b) relatively constant soil temperatures. Atmospheric CO2 concentrations and diel patterns of air temperature and the timing and intensity of light remained similar between these two treatments.
