The results obtained showed an overexpression of miR222-5p and miR150-5p, looking for a possible correlation between miRNA expression and immunohistochemical findings reported in ligature marks, such as the positivity for tryptase, IL-15 and CD15. miR222-5p is involved in the activation of mast-cells, and miR150-5p is altered in neutrophils after traumatic tissue events.
