(c,d) The corresponding lung tissue expansion at the peak of the breath shows a clear reduction in expansion evident in the lower right anatomical lobe of the β-ENaC mouse (arrow), in comparison to the healthy littermate, in which the lung tissue expansion appears more uniform. The 4DxV expansion map around the heart is sparse due to cardiac motion artefacts.
