Distance based linear models (DistLM) of flux rates as response variables and the influence of environmental parameters and epibiota as explanatory variables. Flux rate data was normalised and dissimilarity matrix calculated using the Euclidean distance metric. Environmental variables were selected using the backwards selection procedure, and AIC selection criteria.
