Relative score as a function of pair type and the transition direction. Both main effects of pair type (cont-enc-ret/ cont-ret) and direction (forward/ backward) are significant (p < 0.001, BF10 = 5*106; p = 0.002, BF10 = 9.9 respectively), whereas the interaction is not (p > 0.8, BF01 = 4.05). Simple effects of pair type in both forward and backward direction are also significant (p < 0.001). Error bars denote SEM.
