Relative score as a function of lag distance within cont-ret pairs. Examining the effect of temporal distance during encoding of cont-ret pairs on relative score, we found a significant main effect of distance (p < 0.05, BF10 = 3.68) such that pairs that were closer exhibited higher scores than distant pairs. The post hoc comparison between short and long lags was significant (pbonf < 0.042, BF10 = 3.7). Error bars denote SEM.
