From: MiR-23b-3p reduces the proliferation, migration and invasion of cervical cancer cell lines via the reduction of c-Met expression

Figure 3

miR-23b-3p represses c-Met in C33A and CaSki cells through its interaction with three MRE sites from the 3′-UTR region of c-Met. (a) The MRE23-1, MRE23-2 and MRE23-4 located in the 3′-UTR region of c-Met mRNA are most likely to interact with miR-23b-3p. (b) c-Met is a direct target of miR-23b-3p in CC cells. The binding of miR-23b-3p to the three MRE23 sites inhibits luciferase activity in C33A and CaSki cells. The luciferase relative activity was detected 48 h post-transfection. N/T: non-transfected; pMRL: pMiR-Report-Luciferase (without DNA insert). *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 compared to simple transfection. (c) The expression of c-Met was determined via RT-qPCR. The c-Met expression levels were normalized with GAPDH and analyzed via the ΔCt method. The data were expressed as averages + SE.
