From: Comparison of surgery versus observation for small angle intermittent exotropia

Angle of exodeviation at distance in the initial and final examinations of the Observation group (A) and Surgery group (B). In both groups, the final angle of exodeviation was significantly smaller than the initial angle of exodeviation (P < 0.001 by Student’s t-test). The amount of change was not significantly different between the two groups (−6.8 PD vs −8.8 PD, P = 0.136, Paired t-test). PD = prism diopters.
