(A) Bar graphs of numbers of genes out of the EARLY UP regulon which were not significantly upregulated (non-responsive) in the Mediator mutants in early heat (HS), cold (CS) and salt stress (SS). The dotted line indicates the total number of genes in the EARLY UP regulon (281). (B) Venn diagram showing the overlap between stresses for each mutant. In each Venn diagram the left, right and lower circles correspond to HS, CS and SS, respectively. (C) Enrichment analysis of transcription factor (TF) binding sites in the non-responsive genes in the mutants as compared to the full group of 281 genes, summarized to the level of TF-families (An extended list of all significantly enriched transcription factors can be found in Supplemental Fig. S5). Numbers within the circles indicate the number of significant family members and the size of the circle indicates the proportion of the family that was significantly enriched.
