Lung histology in newborn TNC KO and WT mice. Representative images from lung sections of TNC KO and WT P5 animals, either non-ventilated (control) or, for hematoxylin-eosin staining only, ventilated during one hour with HTV ventilation. Five µm lung sections were stained with the following staining: Panel a-d: hematoxylin-eosin staining for morphological studies; Panel e,f: resorcin-fuchsin staining for elastin (dark purple); Panel g,h: Masson Trichrome staining for collagen (green).
