The solid curve (red) corresponds to the modified quantum renewal process corresponding to Eq. (25), while the dashed curve (blue) to the unmodified one of Eq. (26). Here k = 3 so that for the modified process we have considered three exponential distributions with different rates in the ratio 1:7:5. The populations are plotted as function of μt, with μ the parameter characterizing the first WTD.
