Graphical representation of the LIRA digital imaging analysis workflow. (1) The original digital image scan is uploaded, (2) CNN1 detects Type I pulmonary lesions and results are verified by the user, (3) Window location is cropped based upon classification, (4) Image is tiled in individual image patches of 80 × 145 pixel size to generate predictions, (5) Classification predictions generated using both CNNs, (6) User is allowed to edit the results one last time.
