The gut microbiota compositions of 16 adult and 12 juvenile grey mullet samples were used to estimate the similarity between samples based on (A). Bray Curtis distance, and (B). weighted UniFrac distance. Light green points are gut microbial communities in NWP1 adult samples, red points for communities in NWP2 adults, blue points for communities in NWP3 adults, and dark green and orange dots are juvenile samples of NWP1 and NWP2, respectively. NWP1, NWP2 and NWP3 are three cryptic species of grey mullet M. cephalus in the Taiwan Strait.
