Experimental Design. GRIN lenses were implanted ≥21 days before baseline in vivo, two-photon imaging. Acute behavioral tests (rotarod and neurological severity score (NSS)) were conducted on days 2, 5, and 7 following midline fluid percussion injury (FPI). Mice were imaged one week prior to midline fluid percussion injury (mFPI) and at 1 hr, and at 3, 7, 14, 30, and 60 days following injury. The open field, novel object recognition, and tail suspension test were conducted on Day 60.
