pSer129 α-synuclein pathology in mice injected with PFFs. Wild type mice were injected bilaterally in the OB with PFFs or PBS (control). Six-months after injections the load of pathological phosphorylated α-synuclein (pSer129) was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Representative images of the anterior olfactory nucleus, piriform cortex and substantia nigra of a PFFs injected female mouse (a, b & c) and male mouse (g, h & i) are shown at 4X magnification (scale bar 250 μm).
