On each graph; the grey lines form the point along the histogram of the fraction expansion data and the broken black line represents the least squares double-Gaussian fit for the data. The goodness-of-fit is shown as R2. The extent of heterogeneous and clustered diseased is represented by HD and CD respectively, where a low CD and an HD value close to 1 indicates a healthy profile. In (h), the separate mode is indicated by the red arrow in addition to the bulge on the side of the main mode (blue arrow). The double gaussian fit summarises both deviations into a single curve.
