A 5-month-old male with acute pyelonephritis. The CEUS scan on the axial plane (A) with the gray-scale image (B) shows a hypoechoic lesion at the right kidney cortex (arrow) within the larger area of the hypoenhancing renal parenchyma. The lesion was not enhanced during the enhancement period and interpreted as an abscess. The CT image (C) shows a round-shaped non-enhancing lesion (correlating with the abscess on CEUS) (arrow) within a larger area of hypoenhancement (acute pyelonephritis).
