  1. n number of trees, EOD oven-dry density after cold water extraction, SD standard deviation, Sig p-values obtained using a t-test between the OD listed in Table 2 and the EOD in each provenance or all sample trees. Each value of EOD and cold-water extractive content in each provenance was calculated by averaging the mean values of five trees. The mean value in each tree was calculated by averaging the values obtained from different radial positions. F-values and p-values were obtained with a one-way ANOVA among provenances.
