Summary of the method to determine the position of carbon–carbon double bonds in unsaturated FAs using LC–MS. (A) Plasmatization of the LC solvent on ESI probe at different electrical voltages. At a normal voltage (left, 1.0 kV), no plasmatization occurs, whereas plasmatization occurs at high voltage (right, 3.6 kV) at the tip of the ESI capillary (arrow).
