Schematic representation of the experimental design. COCs underwent IVM at Control (38.5 °C for 22 h) and Heat Shock (41 °C for 16 h followed by 38.5 °C for 6 h) temperatures in the presence of 0 or 10 mM 3MA. After 22 h IVM, COCs were either denuded and processed for western blotting and RT-qPCR analysis or submitted to IVF for 18 h at 38.5°C, followed by IVC for 8 days. Embryonic development was recorded on Days 3 (cleavage rate, %) and 8 (blastocyst rate, %) after IVF.
