From: Hemispheric asymmetry of the dayside aurora due to imbalanced solar insolation
Longterm (2002–2007) averages of auroral energy flux inferred by TIMED/GUVI FUV auroral emission data for (a) Northern Hemisphere (NH) and (b) Southern Hemisphere (SH) in magnetic latitude (MLat)—magnetic local time (MLT) formats. The number of measurements per bin that are used to calculate the averaged energy is provided in (c) for NH and (d) for SH. There are 2,763 bins in total in each hemisphere.
