Cytotoxic effects of P-CNFs, 24M-CNFs, and 48M-CNFs on MG-63 cells, measured by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assay. MG-63 cells seeded on CNFs with a density of 5,000 cells per well in a 96-well plate and incubated for 1, 3, and 5 days. LDH activity was measured after cell lysis. Data represented as mean ± SD, n = 5. The results are given as relative values to the negative control (tissue culture plate, TCP) in percent, whereas negative control is set to be 0% cytotoxic. Asterisk indicates significant difference compared to the control (TCP).
