Acceleration field obtained from the Womersley exact solution. The field is dominated by quasi-steady flow \(\frac{\partial v}{\partial t}\approx 0\) while peaks of minimal and maximal acceleration reciprocate at distance corresponding to \(50 \mathrm{\mu m}\) from the wall. Acceleration alters the flow energy significantly driving it towards global instability.
