Distribution of Merizodus soledadinus on the Kerguelen Islands in 1982–1983 (after Dreux et al. 1992), between 1991 and 1995 (after Chevrier 1996), and between 2005 and 2007 (this study). The geographic occurrence squares report observations of the presence/absence of the insect; when present, the time ranges of these observations do not necessarily correspond to the establishment date of M. soledadinus at each of the surveyed localities. Observations are plotted on a one kilometer grid; coloured square = presence, grey square = absence.
