From: Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 and ATCC PTA 5289 ameliorates chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis
Lactobacillus reuteri (LR) mixture mitigates oxidative stress via Nrf-2. TR146 cells were either untreated (control) or pre-treated with LR DSM 17938 and ATCC PTA 5289 at a MOI of 1:1 for 1 h prior to treatment with 50 μM H2O2 for 3 h. The cellular location of Nrf-2 was determined by immunofluorescence. Nrf-2 was stained red, DAPI stained the nucleus blue while phalloidin stained the actin green. × 400 magnification.
