Effect of the FK-1000 fraction on human epithelial cell viability. HEp-2 cells (106/mL) were seeded in a 96 well cell culture plate (100 µL/well) and incubated at 37 °C in a CO2 chamber for 18 h with 50 mg/mL (100 µL/well) of the FK-1000 fraction in DMEM. After incubation, the toxicity was determined by the MTT method. Triton (1%) was used as positive control. *Statistically significant (p < 0.05) difference between experimental and control (cells incubated only with DMEM) groups.
