Variation of intensity (in arbitrary unit) in the regions of interest (ROI) (refer Fig. 4c). ROI 1 and 2 are located beside the interelectrode gap on both sides of the tool and indicate the combined rate of generation of reaction byproducts and bubbles. ROI 3 is located as in Fig. 4c and indicates the rate of bubble generation as H2 bubbles migrate upwards along the tool (cathode). Intensity variations in (a) Tool-based ECM process at 10 V (b) Tool-based hybrid laser-ECM process at parameter combination 10 V/30 µJ and (c) 10 V/60 µJ.
