Stacked area chart of the percentage of loss of lightness in the drug area for each deflated and inflated balloon. The depth of penetration of the abrasion blade was gradually increased by reducing the height between balloon surface and abrasion blade. High percentages of losses (dark gray area) indicate significant drug losses, while low losses (light gray area) may be due to actual minor drug losses and/or image noise. The deflated Stellarex represents a special case, where the lightness changes are caused by internal structure changes.
