  1. Variables were reported as median (interquartile range); Kruskal–Wallis comparisons were performed. In the case of resistin, Dunn test post hoc analysis was significant only for HC vs. aCD(p = 0.03). Only those patients with data for the four adipokines variables were considered. All variables were natural log transformed before the analysis.
