Relative mRNA expression level of clock genes in the SCN after anesthesia. The relative expression level of Per2, Bmal, Clock, and Cry1 was measured as indicated in the left upper corner of each graph. The relative expression level was calculated by dividing the mRNA expression of the anesthesia group by that of the non-anesthesia group in each subgroup. The calculation was performed in groups in which the SCN was collected at the same time of day. The mRNA expression was measured by q-PCR using the ΔΔCT method. The p value was calculated using the Kruskal–Wallis test. Error bars indicate the standard deviation.
