Measurement of subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) and the thickness of choroidal substructures with an enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography. SFCT was measured vertically from the hyper-reflective line of Bruch’s membrane (black thick arrow) to the line connecting the outer margin of the large choroidal vessel layer (white thick arrow). The thickness of Haller’s layer was measured vertically from the line connecting the inner margin of the large choroidal vessel layer (black thin arrow) to the line connecting the outer margin of that (white thick arrow). The thickness of choriocapillaris-Sattler’s layer was calculated by subtracting the thickness of Haller’s layer from the total choroidal thickness.
