(a) Slit-like duct opening (arrow) with circularly arranged epithelial cells, which is a feature of tubular adenoma. (b) Triangular or rectangular shaped finger-like projection, i.e. a pointed villous structure, which is a feature of villous adenoma. (c) Spindle-shaped nuclei without nuclear enlargement. (d) Oval-shaped nuclei without nuclear enlargement. (e) Prominent enlarged oval-shaped nuclei with spindle-shaped nuclei.
