Deletion of N17 enables detection of mHTT seeding activities in HD mouse and patient brain lysates. Recombinant mHTT-51Q seeds and brain lysates from HD patients and mouse models were applied directly to mHTT-46Q-GFP (a–f), mHTT-SD-GFP (g–l) or mHTT-ΔN17-GFP cell lines (m–r) for 3 days.
