Analysis of hippocampal GABAergic and glutamatergic receptor expression in NOVX and OVX animals following pilocarpine treatment. GABAergic and glutamatergic receptor expression was decreased in OVX animals treated with pilocarpine 90 min after status epilepticus (SE) onset. No changes were noted in parvalbumin receptor expression that could be linked to SE. (a) Metabotropic glutamate receptor 2/3 (mGluR2/3) expression. (b) GABAB receptor expression.
