Main cuts in (a) elevation and (b) azimuth of the design after the wideband copolar-only optimization. This design almost fulfils specifications in a 2 GHz bandwidth (11%), achieving a good trade-off between performance of a wideband shaped-beam reflectarray and its physical size. Due to the symmetry in the antenna optics, there is a null in the crosspolar pattern in the elevation cut.
