Hybrids have rearranged genome. (a) Cell cycle analysis by measurement of PI intensity for RST DsRed, Myo A8, Myo D6 and hybrids. RST/A8 hybrids which are all tetraploid as compared to diploid parental cells and RST/D6 hybrids are pentaploid as compared to diploid RST DsRed and tetraploid Myo D6 parental cells. Vertical lines indicate 2n, 4n and 8n ploidies. (b) Genomic profiling of RST DsRed, myoblast and hybrids cell lines analysed using the Chromosome Analysis Suite software v3.1. Copy number variations (CNVs) demonstrate that hybrid genome is rearranged upon fusion. x axis: chromosome 1 to chromosome Y; y axis: log2 ratio. Post-fusion new genomics alterations are indicated by red lines.
