From: Failure mechanism of TRSS mode in landslides induced by earthquake
Schematic of the different sliding surfaces under static and earthquake loading conditions. Tensile rupture fractures are observed at the top of the slope under earthquake loading condition and sheared sliding is formed after tensile rupture. The stress loading modes and crack coordinates system are also demonstrated.
