The effect of crude PS on protein content (a), PAL (b), chitinase (c) and β-1,3-Glucanase (d), activities. Tomato plants were injected with 1 mg mL−1 of PS. H2O and Laminarin (1 mg mL−1) were used as negative and positive controls respectively. Values are the mean (± SE) of five replicates. Different letters indicate significant difference between treatments (p < 0.05) according to Turkey-test, One-way ANOVA.
