From: Modulation of cAMP metabolism for CFTR potentiation in human airway epithelial cells

Consequences of CFTR modulator VX-770 on CFTR function using receptor-independent (forskolin) and receptor-dependent (isoproterenol) cAMP inducers. Calu-3 cells were stimulated with VX-770 (1 μM) in the presence of cAMP inducer (a) forskolin and (e) isoproterenol. Analysis of concentration–response curves was performed for (b,f) AUC, (c,g) EC50, and (d,h) Emax. The concentration–response curve was normalized to baseline over DMSO vehicle control. All data presented as ± standard deviations (n = 4, FSK; n = 8, ISO). **P ≤ 0.01; ****P ≤ 0.0001.
