Effects of ABA on seedling greening of the Col wild type, the 35S:AITRL transgenic plants and the aitrl mutants. (a) Seedling greening of the Col wild type, the 35S:AITRL transgenic plants and the aitrl mutants in response to ABA treatment. Seeds were sterilized and sown on plates with solidified 0.5 × MS salts in the presence or absence 0.5 µM ABA. The plates were kept at 4 °C in darkness for 3 days before transferred to a growth room. Pictures were taken 12 days after the transfer. (b) Percentage of green seedlings of the Col wild type, the 35S:AITRL transgenic plants and the aitrl mutants in response to ABA treatment. Seedlings with green cotyledons were counted 12 days after the transfer, and the percentage of green seedlings was calculated. Data represent means ± SD of three replicates. *Significantly different from the wild type (p < 0.05).
