Reduction of vertebral compression fractures with percutaneous pedicle screw internal fixation using the proposed locator. Graph (a) shows a CT image of a vertebral compression fracture (lumbar #2). Graph (b) illustrates that the Kirschner wires were inserted into the pedicles of both sides of the lumbar #1 and #3 guided by the locator. Graphs (c) and (d) show that the accuracy of pedicle guide needle placement was confirmed by 2D fluoroscopy. Graph (e) displays the closed incisions. Graph (f) depicts DR image taken postoperatively.
