The effects of AOFE on the cell viability of head and neck cancer cells. (A) Head and neck cancer cells (FaDu) and normal cells (293 T) were plated and treated with water and EtOH extracts. (B) Powder of dried CJ pericarp was fermented at 30 °C or 35 °C for 3 days with A. oryzae (AOFE) and S. cerevisiae (SCFE). Fermented products were filtered and lyophilized and then treated to the cells. (C) The extract fermented at 30 °C with A. oryzae was treated with 293 T normal cells. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay. All data are presented as the mean ± SD. Statistical analyses were performed using paired t-test. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001.
