IGFBP-2 can prevent AOFE-induced apoptosis. (A) FaDu cells were cultured in a media containing the indicated concentration of glucose for 24 h. The cell lysates were prepared, and analyzed by western blot analysis using anti-IGFBP-2, anti-phosphor mTOR, anti-mTOR and β-actin antibodies. (B) After FaDu cells were pretreated with the indicated concentration of glucose for 24 h, AOFE was treated at various concentration. Cell viability was analyzed by MTT assay. The data are presented as the mean ± SD. Statistical analyses were performed using paired t-test. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01.
