Cytotoxicity of welding particles in primary human small airway epithelial cells. Cells from three donors were exposed to stainless steel or mild steel welding particles (1–250 µg/mL) for 24 (A), 48 (B) and 72 (C) h. Cell viability was assessed using Alamar Blue assay and results are expressed as % metabolic activity compared to untreated cells.
